“A Strategic plan is an organization’s process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating its resources to pursue this strategy, including its capital and people.” (Wikipedia)

Your Strategic Plan is one of the most important documents that you will use to run your business.  This is where your dreams and vision for your business become a reality.
Take this time to think about why you went into business.  What did you want your business to do for you?

  • Give you more freedom
  • Make lots of money
  • Allow you to retire early

What is your ultimate dream? Add this dream to your strategic plan and create the goals and tasks that will get you there.

So, where do you begin?
1.) Start with your S.W.O.T

  • Strengths of your business
  • Weaknesses of your business
  • Opportunities to exceed your plan
  • Threats to not making your plan

2.) Core, Values & Beliefs

  • The should’s and should nots that guide your   organization’s decisions, attitudes, behaviors and performance.
  • These should be the 5-10 commandments upon which you vision for the future is built.

3.) Purpose

  • Why are you in the business that you are in?
  • What is your passion for your business?

Then the real fun begins….numbers. What’s your sales plan for the next 5 to 10 years?  What plan do you have in place to make your numbers?  Once your plan is completed, the most important step is to focus on your revenue numbers every week.
